Nokia Continues To Amaze Us with Lumia 1020

Nokia Lumia 1020 amazes the entire mobile community with its whopping 41 MP camera. Pending release in the coming weeks in most countries, this phone takes smartphone photography to a whole new level. Lumia 1020 is equipped with a xenon flash which was first launched with Nokia N8. Xenon flash makes it possible to take night-time pictures like any regular point and shoot camera. The light sensitivity can be adjusted upto 3200 ISO which is not available even in many regular cameras. The actual camera resolution stands at 7712 x 5360 pixels which makes it possible to click and zoom to the intricate details of the picture sometimes not even being visible to the normal eye.

The camera feature of the phone is complimented with the Nokia Pro Camera application on the software front. This application makes it easier even for a novice user to take full advantage of the sophisticated camera settings.

The design of the phone appears bulky yet it is lighter in its overall weight. While some may like the design, many might find it less elegant. However, given the camera features that this phone has to offer and the xenon flash, it must be nearly impossible for Nokia to make the look better than what it looks now. I am a Nokia fan and I quite like this design. The Apple fans as usual won't be liking this design any better.

While most of the features of this phone resemble the previous Lumia 92x series, the RAM has been bumped upto 2GB required for the additional camera feature support. Also, Lumia 1020 happens to support many more 4G LTE bands. Lumia 1020 also supports USB-On-The-Go and FM Radio which were missing in Lumia 920 and disappointed many Nokia fans.
